Unfortunately Synology has (still) not provided a working solution for this. I have been using a shell script to accomplish this, but it seems to work imperfectly in that after a while (days, weeks) my DNS server does not resolve my local addresses anymore, most likely because the shell scripts puts the dns records in an incompatible order. So.. DDNS is just a DNS service outside of a dynamically assigned network.
